Wash less and steam more!

Worn underwear, socks, and smelly clothes? Straight in the wash. A shirt, dress, or blouse worn for a day without sweating? Just run the steamer over it, then hang it back up in the closet! Why make things difficult when they can be easier and more sustainable!

It is recommended to wash as little as possible

Sustainable fashion designer Stella McCartney said in an interview with the Observer' that she never washes or dry-cleans her suits, and even added that you should wash as little as possible. So often, we throw our clothes in the laundry basket at the end of the day, even though they aren't actually dirty at all. Unfortunately, that's not a very sustainable habit... Mac Bishop, the founder of a clothing brand whose garments hardly need washing, experienced this while working on Unilever's marketing team: “The only way to grow a laundry detergent brand is to make people think they need to wash a lot.”

Frequent ironing is also very bad for your textile products. The fibers are effectively flattened, and combined with the extremely hot iron plate, this causes them to wear out faster.
