Our Garment Steamers

A garment steamer heats water into hot steam. The steam relaxes the fibres of your clothes, so creases disappear while the garment simply hangs on a hanger. No ironing board needed, and no hot soleplate pressing on the fabric.

For most everyday clothing, yes. You steam faster, without an ironing board, and because no hot soleplate presses on the fabric you get no shiny marks or scorch marks, even on delicate fabrics. For a sharp crease in trousers an iron is still handy.

It depends on how much and where you steam. A handheld steamer is compact and ideal for one or two outfits a day. An upright steamer like the Professional is made for long sessions, lots of clothes or curtains. The Travel is light and foldable for on the go. Not sure? Try our product finder.

Almost all fabrics, including delicates such as silk, satin, cashmere and wool. Only leather, suede and velour are not suitable. Read more about steaming delicate fabrics.

Yes. Steam at 100°C refreshes your clothes and helps reduce odours, so you can wear a garment more often before it needs a wash. That is better for your clothes, saves washes and makes your clothes last longer.

Let the steamer heat up, hang your garment, pull the fabric lightly taut and move the steamer slowly from top to bottom. See our guide and steaming tips.

If you live in a soft water area, regular tap water is fine. With hard, limescale-rich water we recommend distilled, deionised or filtered water. Never put laundry perfume, scented ironing water, essential oils or cleaning products in the tank. Read more about which water to use.

Yes. Descale your steamer every six months, even if you rarely use it. If water has been left in the tank for a long time, limescale can still build up inside. So always empty the tank if you won't be using your steamer for a while. Limescale damage is not covered by the warranty. Read how to descale your steamer.

Often the cause is simple. Check that there is enough water in the tank, that the tank is properly attached and that the steamer has fully heated up. Still not working? Follow our no-steam checklist or contact us.

The Travel weighs just 520 grams, making it our lightest steamer. Great for travelling, and also recommended if you have arthritis or other complaints in your hands.

You have 14 days to try your order at home. You also get a 2-year warranty. Is your steamer faulty? Email us at info@steamers.nl with your 4-digit order number and a short video in which we can see or hear the fault. It is the first thing we will ask for, so this way we can help you straight away. Please note: damage caused by limescale (if your steamer has not been descaled every six months) or by dry boiling (switching it on without water in the tank) is not covered by the warranty.

STEAMRS is a Dutch brand for luxury clothing care. It started with a simple belief: clothing largely shapes how you feel, and with small changes you can take much better care of it. Clothes are worn for far too short a time these days, because we wash too often and throw away too soon. That is why we design garment steamers and accessories that keep your clothes looking good for longer, and that look just as chic as you. Read the full story on our About us page.
