The first garment steamer
After endless testing, prototyping, and refining with technology experts, we created our first STEAMRS garment steamer: powerful, stylish, and designed with the latest technologies, keeping everyday life in mind. No bulky machines, no ironing boards in the way—just a smart, portable solution that freshens and cares for your clothes down to the fiber in no time. Today, STEAMRS is more than a product—it’s a brand for people who love convenience, style, and quality. And this is just the beginning.
How STEAMRS started
A photoshoot for bedding
In 2020, founders Thomas and Charlotte decided to join forces. One came from marketing, the other from the luxury bedding industry—together, they knew everything about textiles and fabrics. During a bedding photoshoot, they discovered a shared frustration: ironing. Not only time-consuming and tiring but also highly damaging to textile fibers. After all that ironing, the bed was made, only for the duvet cover to be completely wrinkled again. Surely, there had to be an easier and faster way?
Design & Development
Together with leading product developers from the Netherlands and technology experts, the idea was transformed into a concrete design. The requirements were high: a steamer that heats up quickly, delivers powerful steam, is safe for all types of fabrics, cares for textiles instead of damaging them, and eliminates bacteria and odors.
Additionally, the device had to be compact, feel sturdy, have a premium finish (no plastic look!), and feature a sleek, streamlined design that stands out. After countless prototypes, tests, and refinements, the first STEAMRS garment steamer was born—a perfect blend of technology, style, and ease of use.

Introducing STEAMRS
On Friday, June 9, 2021, we launched our very first STEAMRS garment steamer—and what happened next exceeded our wildest dreams. The entire initial batch of our black steamer sold out in no time.
Unbelievable. We are incredibly proud and grateful that so many people are now steaming their clothes with our steamer. What started as an idea at the kitchen table has grown into a product used daily in hundreds of households. And this is just the beginning. 💙

There are so many ways to keep your clothes looking great for longer—steaming is just one of them. That’s why we’ve expanded our collection with smart, sustainable tools for optimal garment care.
From powerful fabric shavers to stylish lint rollers, from nourishing clothing brushes to dryer balls that improve your laundry routine—each item is developed by our in-house product designers. Functional, efficient, and as thoughtfully designed as our garment steamers: luxurious, minimalist, and built to last.
With this expansion, we’re evolving from a brand known for garment steamers into a brand with a broader mission: everything you need for the optimal care of your clothes.
Product for professional, intensive & long-term use
After countless requests from fashion stores, studios, and showrooms, we went back to the drawing board with our product developers. The goal? To create a professional garment steamer for intensive use: featuring an extra-large water tank, extended steam time, and powerful enough to run all day long. Adjustable in height, mobile, and visually sleek enough to stand out on any shop floor.
The result: our first upright STEAMRS garment steamers. Made for professionals but also perfect for home use—ideal for anyone who wants to steam more than just one or two garments.
