1. Water droplets or Leakage at the Hand Dryer

It is quite normal for small water droplets to occasionally get on your clothes while steaming. This is more common than you see in steaming videos. Almost every hand steamer will occasionally release a drop of water. Don't worry, this is completely harmless to your textiles.

What if your clothes steamer is really leaking?
When a lot of water leaks, it's obviously not your intention. Follow these steps to fix the problem:

• Check where the leak is: Is it leaking from the metal ironing plate at the top or from the water tank?
• Check the reservoir: Press the black tab of the water tank firmly and make sure it is positioned properly. There should be no gap between the reservoir and the steamer.

2. Bubbling Sounds during Warming Up.

Hear a bubbling sound when your STEAMR heats up? Don't panic! This is perfectly normal. Think of it as a powerful kettle heating water at lightning speed to over 100°C to generate steam. This process may involve some noise, but it's no cause for concern.

3. No Steam from the Steamer?

If your hand steamer does not emit steam, there are some causes you can check:

• Check the water level: Is there enough water in the reservoir? The STEAMR's matte black design makes it difficult to see the water level, so use the included measuring cup to refill.
• Is the water tank secure? Take it out and snap it back securely. A gap between the tank and the unit may be the cause of the problem.
• Check the power supply: Make sure the plug is properly plugged in and that there is power.
• Wait for the steamer to heat up: The STEAMR takes about 20-25 seconds to heat up. The light turns from orange to green when ready to use. Do not press the steam button too early.

Descaling your Handheld Steamer

If you use tap water instead of distilled water, your STEAMR may build up scale over time. Descaling your steamer is similar to descaling a kettle. Use vinegar, for example, to remedy this problem.

To prevent limescale, we recommend using distilled, filtered or osmosis water. This not only prevents limescale, but also ensures that your clothes steamer lasts longer and continues to work optimally.
