Can I replace my iron with a steamer?

Some love it and find it wonderfully relaxing; but in many households, doing the ironing is not popular, and is seen by many as a time-consuming chore. Remarkably, the "new generation" living on their own and starters, often don't even have an iron and ironing board in the house anymore. Clothes are hung directly in the closet after washing/drying and do not disappear into an ironing basket first. The use of a clothes steamer has grown tremendously in popularity. But is a clothes steamer really a complete replacement for the iron?

A steamer/steamer is a device that removes creases from clothes with - how could it be otherwise - steam. Unlike an iron, you don't have to apply pressure to it and therefore don't need an ironing board. Executing less pressure, force and heat on the fabric significantly prolongs the life of the textile product. Getting wrinkles out of your clothes without damaging the fabric is done with a quality clothes steamer
In many cases, a clothes steamer is not a complete replacement for your iron. For example, you won't remove stubborn, deep wrinkles with a handheld steamer because the continuous steam production is generally too low, and you apply much more pressure to a fabric with an iron. Therefore, consider in advance what you will use the clothes steamer for. From linen the creases go more difficult, than, for example, with cotton, or satin.

A garment steamer ideal for quick uncreasing of thin fabrics, delicate fabrics and clothes with difficult textures, such as pleated skirts.
It is also ideal for touching up and refreshing all kinds of clothing, including wool sweaters and coats. Besides using it on clothes, a dry cleaner is also very good for your bedding, curtains and tablecloths, for example.

Effortlessly, quickly and easily remove creases and freshen up your clothes without using an ironing board? Then a compact handheld steamer is perfect for you! A clothes steamer is handig for on the side, and certainly for traveling to quickly wrinkle or refresh your clothes, but it is not a complete replacement for an iron. Don't buy a clothes steamer to get rid of full baskets of ironing, but only for quick jobs. A quality clothes steamer is heated up and ready to use within 20 seconds. With a full water tank, you can steam about 2/3 garments on average.
