Dry cleaning curtains? Here's how to remove wrinkles and odors easily!

How can I dry clean curtains myself after washing?

A frustration of many: washing curtains. Taking down curtains is often already a chore, let alone washing and ironing them. Remove creases and unpleasant odors in an instant with the handheld steamer. Just plug it in, let the steamer heat up for 20/25 seconds, fill the water tank and steam away!

How often should I refresh my curtains?

It is recommended that you give your curtains a refresh once a year. Since you only have to do it once a year, it may make sense to pick a set time for it. For example, after the holidays or in the spring during spring cleaning. That way you better remember when the curtains should be washed or steamed.

How do I wash my curtains?

That you look up to the huge ironing job afterwards we understand only too well. How nice would it be if you could get your curtains out of the washing machine wrinkle-free? With these 5 tips, you can come pretty close to wrinkle-free curtains:

1. Read the washing instructions

Curtains are often not cheap, so it would be a shame to kill them by washing them on your regular wash cycle. Remove the curtain hooks if necessary and read the label with washing instructions. If the labels are no longer on your curtains, wash them at thirty degrees just to be sure. That way you can be sure they won't come out of the washing machine four times smaller.

2. Use mild detergents

Fill the washing machine to about one-third of its maximum allowed weight. That way your curtains have more room to move, avoiding unnecessary wrinkles. Use little detergent and fabric softener and always choose the mildest variety. This way, you will prevent the fabric from wearing out!

3. Use the dryer on a short program

Centrifuging often affects the fibers and fabric and causes most wrinkles in the washing process. Try to avoid this. For wrinkle-free curtains, it is best to spin at no more than 600 rpm. Do you have curtains made of a thin fabric? Then turn off the spin mode completely.

4. Hang curtains wet

If you don't spin your curtains, they will come out of the washing machine soaking wet. Don't be alarmed by this; this is just the point. Carefully take the curtains out of the washing machine and hang them back in place immediately. Remember to hang them in the fold first and put a bucket underneath so they can drain. The weight of the water pulls the fabric taut, avoiding wrinkles. Tip: also briefly open a door or window so the water can evaporate.

5. Use a steamer to remove wrinkles

As a final step, we recommend a handheld steamer Use to easily remove wrinkles from curtains.

How do I steam my curtains?

If your curtain has stains or nasty odors, thensteaming your curtains can be a very good option. This technique works best if you have thick curtains and curtains made from a natural fabric. With this handy and stylish steamer, you can easily do this job yourself.
The hot steam kills 99% of all bacteria, removing unpleasant odors and smells. A steamer refreshes textiles nicely and removes every last wrinkle!

1. Use steamer

Fill the water tank, plug in the power cord and let the steamer warm up. When ready to use, press the steam button several times in a row and let the steam process get underway. Sometimes it may take a while for this process to get fully underway and there may be some water splashing from the appliance at first. Press the steam plate against the curtain and press the steam button. Let the device gradually move from top to bottom over the curtain, easily removing all the wrinkles and freshening the fabric completely!
